Paddy Power Poker Sets Up Scotlands Largest Poker Tournament

Charity event to benefit Erskine Hosptial is expected to attract around 500 players.
Dial-a-Bet has launched the Paddy Power Charity Poker Open in the hopes of making the event Scotland&euro&trades biggest poker tournament yet. The event, which takes place at the Normandy Hotel in Renfrew, has four starting heats on May 16, 17, 23 & 24. These heats are expected to attract nearly 500 players. The top 40 players will then move on to the Grand Final on Saturday, May 30, 2009. The buy-in for the event is 12. Players can register for each heat on the morning of the event between 10 and 11.30 am. Prizes include an all-expenses paid trip and entry to the 2010 Irish Poker Open, a trip for two to Las Vegas and VIP Packages to the Paddy Power Gold Cup and Ayr Gold Cup. The Erskine hospital has helped more than 70,000 patients since its establishment in 1916. Paddy Power hopes to raise thousands of pounds for the organization during this event.
