Each year, over 10 million people around the world die from cancer, around 600,000 of these deaths occurring in the United States. Nearly everyone in the United States has been impacted by cancer in some way, whether they themselves have been diagnosed, if they know someone who has been, or if they have lost someone to it. With the amount of treatments cancer patients have to go through and the numerous other health problems that can result from cancer, costs can quickly add up, and many can’t afford this. Transportation costs alone can be a burden, as many people drive long distances to appointments. Easing this burden can help people afford all of their medical expenses and receive life-saving treatment.
Peaks to Conga helps cancer patients cover the non-medical expenses that come along with cancer. This June, they are holding their Peaks to Conga Bicyclists’ Fundraiser to raise money for this cause.
Start training and planning for the 12th Annual PEAKS to CONGA bicyclists’ fundraiser on Saturday, June 24, 2023.
This fun, non-competitive, fully supported ride starts en masse from Cody Coffee Roasters at 7 am and ends 66 miles later in downtown Shell, Wyoming. Ride some or the entire route … hence the Conga line!
Support vehicles are available along the route with snacks, water and technical assistance as needed. Recommended gear to carry: spare tubes, water bottle, and sunscreen. Helmets are mandatory!
ONLY designated support vehicles are allowed along the ride route to reduce road congestion and increase safety. If you have family or friends interested in helping along the ride, please let us know.
