a Pet Adoption Event to be held on May 2nd and 3rd from 10 am to 6 pm at Petsmart at 5050 Southeast 14th street in Des Moines. “There is an estimated 70,000 homeless animals in Iowa at any given moment, and over 4 million shelter animals euthanized annually in the United States. Therefore, it is very important for the citizens of Iowa to adopt from local shelters to help reduce the number of animals being euthanized.” States Linn Cipperley-Price, Director A.P.E.
At this multi-shelter Pet Adoption Event, there will be over ten humane organizations present, with over a hundred animals (estimated count) to choose from, aged from puppies and kittens, to adult cats and dogs. Several purebreds will be present as well.
