10:10am Saturday 14th February 2009 A PET charity will hold a special event to show how animals can make a positive impact on peoples
lives. Volunteers from Pets as Theraphy (PAT) will be at Yarm Library, on February 23, between 11am and 12noon. The charity, now in its 25th year, offers the opportunity for patients in hospitals, hospices, residential care homes, day centres and schools for children with special needs to benefit from companionship with pets. Councillor Mary Womphrey, Stockton Borough Councils cabinet member for arts, culture and leisure, said: “Its an ideal opportunity for people to discover the work of the charity and how it could benefit them or members of their family.” To find out more about PAT visit petsastherapy.org
