Photo show promotes cervicalcancer awareness

AT THE photo exhibit Hope for the Flower, I was amazed as I circulated among loads of invitees.
The exhibit features the works of lensmen Jun de Leon, Jed Santos, Ramon Ty and Miguel de Leon. The event aims to inspire and underscore the groundswell of support that advocates have shown for cervical-cancer awareness and prevention. “Cervical cancer is a disease that afflicts women. But instead of hiding from it, women are facing it head-on with their characteristic grace, which can be seen with the images I’ve taken throughout my career. And for me, that’s more than enough reason to celebrate,” explained De Leon. Every two minutes, one of half a million women dies from this illness. Bala bought Panerai to celebrate his 40th birthday. He got his wish and won a Panerai timepiece. “The promo really made my birthday a very happy one,” he said with joy in his heart.
