Herald Times Reporter • May 28, 2009 TOWN OF CENTERVILLE &mdash The Point Creek Natural Area Management Committee is inviting interested volunteers to help
remove invasive bush honeysuckle and build trails from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Point Creek Natural Area. This is the third spring volunteers will work alongside UW-Green Bay, UW-Sheboygan and UW-Manitowoc faculty and students, along with Glacial Lakes Conservancy personnel. Volunteers must pre-register by calling Glacial Lakes Conservancy at (920) 273-1143. Point Creek Natural Area is on Manitowoc County LS, three miles north of Cleveland. A parking lot is immediately adjacent to the highway, a half-mile north of Point Creek. MANITOWOC &mdash April’s unemployment rate in the city was 13.2 percent, up from 13.1 percent in March and more than double the April 2008 unemployment rate of 5.2 percent.
The city’s unemployment rate was the fifth highest of 31 cities monitored by the state Department of Workforce Development, which released the data Wednesday.
