A man was kicked unconscious in a late-night attack as he walked home from a charity barn dance in north Powys, say police.
The victim, who had been at a Young Farmers’ Club event in Llanfyllin, was assaulted in a lane by a group of men. Dyfed-Powys Police have appealed for information from the 500 people who attended the barn dance. A young woman was also attacked on two separate occasions by teenagers, said officers. Pc Phil Youens of Llanfyllin police said the man was knocked to the ground and repeatedly kicked until he fell unconscious. Police are also investigating a report of an assault at the dance itself which attracted around 500 people.
