The celebration of Vincent’s Nightclub’s 23rd anniversary raised more than $50,000 for three charities.
Interfaith Social Services, the Youth Ministry program of both St. Mary’s and St. Bernadette’s parishes and the Salesian Boys & Girls Club of East Boston will all receive money from the event. More than 500 people attended the gala, which was held May 13. The Lombardo family, which owns both the nightclub and Lombardo’s function center, paid all of the costs of the event. In return, guests were asked to donate at least $65 to one of the three charities.
The featured entertainment was the group Souled Out, which performed covers of Motown songs.
