RAYMOND — A Candia resident is facing two charges after an altercation at a local bar that reportedly involved threats against a police officer.
Scott Severin, 39, was cited earlier this month after the Feb. 9 incident at Teddy’s Lounge, 70 Main St. According to documents in Candia District Court, Severin is accused of striking a woman with his hand in the bar at about 9 that night, and he also allegedly yelled profanity at another woman. Documents say he also threatened arresting Officer Stephen McPherson, allegedly uttering statements that included “I’m gonna drop you where you stand one night” and “you’re gonna pay for this.” Severin was released on $1,000 bail with conditions that he have no contact with the alleged victims and remain at least 100 yards from Teddy’s Lounge. A hearing is scheduled for May 18. — Toby Henry RAYMOND — The Raymond Police Department, in conjunction with local organizations, is hosting a dinner to benefit Officer Robert McMullen and his wife Gayle.
