The American Red Cross, Northern Nevada Chapter will be honoring local heroes, those ordinary citizens who have shown extraordinary courage, at the American Red
Cross 2009 Real Heroes Breakfast.
The American Red Cross Real Heroes Breakfast exemplifies our mission &150 teaching people to save lives. We will be honoring those individuals who have reached out to help their neighbors when they were needed most! This event allows us to recognize those who risk their lives to help others in emergency situations, and also those who exemplify compassion and generosity toward others in our community.
Nominations will be accepted through January 23, 2009 and can be downloaded from the Real Heroes page at www.nevada.redcross.org.
Tickets are $25 per person. Tables of eight and corporate sponsorships are also available. Proceeds will be used to provide emergency shelter, meals, and clothing for local families who are displaced from their homes due to fire or disaster, as well as education and safety training classes for children, teens and adults.
