HUNTINGTON BEACH &ndash Two anonymous residents donated $5,000 to the city’s children’s library department after learning that about $11,000 worth of tickets had been
forged for an . , officials said. Genuine tickets sold for $52 pre-sale and $60 after April 13 and at the door. “There were a lot of tears in the library when we got the check,” said Elaine Parker, president of the Friends of the Children’s Library said. “It is amazing. It is above and beyond the call of duty.”
The funds will be primarily used to buy children’s books, she said.
