ATKINSON — Looking to get rid of your used books The Atkinson Women’s Civic Club is raising money through donations of new and used
books, CDs, DVDs, videos and audio books. The group has obtained a drop-off donation container for residents, businesses and others who wish to contribute books they no longer use and would like to repurpose, while also raising money for the club. The gray book donation container, distinguished by its purple and yellow signs, is located in the parking lot of the Atkinson Community Center at 4 Main St. Donations may be made by the public at any time. Funds earned through items donated will directly benefit the Atkinson Women’s Civic Club. Donating books at this location is a great way to help raise money for a local group and keep books out of the trash. In addition to helping raise money for the club, these donated items will be repurposed in great ways they could be donated to schools, libraries, and other groups in need, sent overseas to the troops, given to teachers for their classrooms, or sold in book sales and online.
