Check out your farmers market or visit a strawberry farm and fill up your baskets. The seventh annual Eden Chamber of Commerce Business Expo will take place today in the Kingsway Plaza in Eden. The expo will offer residents a chance to get up close and learn about area businesses and services. This year, $1 gets you into the expo with the money being donated to a local charity. So head on over and support our community. For all our ladies, a special Friday night has been planned in Olde Leaksville. Patterned after an event in Hillsborough, Ladies Night Out will pamper you, inspire you and make you feel good. Look for red shoes in the windows of participating merchants to find your special treats. And a night at the opera has been planned at the Historic Woodburn Square in Madison as it is transformed into a Paris Opera House from the late 19th century. This black-tie-optional event will feature select performances from “The Phantom of the Opera.” And your ticket cost will help out the Free Clinic of Rockingham County. Performances are planned for Friday and Saturday evening.
