Sean Connery, currently celebrating his 78th birthday, has been given a 1000 charity challenge from The Real Mary King’s Close.
The challenge arose from Connery’s criticism of the Edinburg attraction, calling it ‘a Disneyfied haunted-house experience’.
Staff at the attraction have now challenged Connery (in Edinburgh launching his new book at the Edinburgh International Book Festival) to see for himself, pledging to give 1000 to charity if he doesn’t change his mind.
In turn if he does find himself in a humbling position, they’ve asked him to give 1000 to their nominated charity, the Sick Children’s Foundation.
The charity challenge was delivered to Sean Connery on Monday.
