Social Space: A Place Where Creativity and Altruism Combine

Satisfy your love for art while filling up hungry bellies.

Calling all art enthusiasts in Ottawa! Find your way to 8 Glebe Avenue, Ottawa on June 7-8 for Social Space, a pop-up art event featuring the wonderful works of Gordon Leverton, Andrew Milne, and the dynamic duo Maureen Bennett and Brent McGillivary. Aside from a chance to admire the artworks of these four, you’ll also get to meet other artists in an intimate and comfortable setting. Best of all, partial sales from this event will go to The Ottawa Food Bank, a charity that “provides fresh and non-perishable food, as well as supplies such as diapers, toiletries, and cleaning supplies to its network of over 100 food programs across the city.”

A gathering of art enthusiasts and creators coming together in urban settings, surrounded by curated artwork in a relaxed atmosphere. It’s not just about admiring art; it’s about immersing yourself in a community-driven space where you can meet the artists, purchase their work, and contribute to a local charity—all while enjoying a laid-back social vibe. The events are curated by artist Gordon Leverton and Nancy Cabral-Leverton.

The inaugural Ottawa event, hosted at the historical home of Grant and Sandy Macleod, promises to be a feast for the senses. Featuring original and one of-a-kind artworks by Gordon Leverton, Andrew Milne, and the dynamic duo Maureen Bennett and Brent McGillivary, this event offers a rare opportunity to experience art in an intimate setting

Writer and artist, Mary Anne Radmacher, said “There is no small act of kindness. Every compassionate act makes large the world.” Mark your calendars for Social Space happening on June 7-8. Show your support for local artists while championing the right of everyone to be free from hunger.
