Award-winning actress Glenn Close once said, “What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, and more unashamed conversation.” This statement is more relevant than ever as last 2019, the World Health Organization recorded that there were 970 million people globally, or 1 in every 8 people, living with a mental disorder. This number continued to rise in the following year or so due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this, more and more people are coming out to shed light on the importance of mental health, one of which is the group, Speak & Share.

Speak & Share is a charity whose vision is “to become one of Australia’s most impactful Mental Health advocacy organisations that creates everlasting change in our community.” They have various programs in place to ensure that every Australian, no matter the age and background, has a safe and judgement free space where they could talk about their mental heath struggles. To help them continue offering these programs to more people for free, they’ll be having Speak & Share Fun Run ’23 at Rosebud Skate Park on December 3.

The Speak & Share Fun Run is back for its second year in ’23!

With 500 participants showing up last year, we’ve decided why not take it a step further and aim for 2000 this year. This is a huge goal, one in which we need you to help us rally the troops.
