The popular lunch-time event will take place in downtown St.
Paul from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Robert Street between 6th Street and 7th Place. The event serves as a kick-off to the Saints season and a platform for the unveiling of the name of the club’s 2009 four-legged pig mascot. The free outdoor street fair features autographs from the entire Saints team, live music, inflatable games and addresses from City of St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman and Saints Executive Vice President and General Manager Derek Sharrer. At approximately 12:30 p.m., the Mayor will announce “Play Ball” and all in attendance are encouraged to play catch. Those who aren’t able to bring their own glove or ball will be provided free soft baseballs provided by the Saints and TDS Metrocom.
“We look forward to this event every year to mark the unofficial start to summer,” said Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Derek Sharrer. “We appreciate the efforts of BOMA St. Paul and its members in helping us get the downtown community excited about our coming season.”
