April 26, 2009 GOLF MACOA tournament: Support Meals on Wheels by participating in MACOA’s annual golf tournament May 8 at Capitol Hill in Prattville.
Registration starts at 7 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Event includes goody bags, golf and cart fees, lunch, prizes and “an everybody wins” raffle. Foursomes can enter for $400, or individuals can play for $100. Contact the Montgomery Council On Aging at 334-263-0532. All proceeds go to providing daily meals to seniors. RUNNING SOCCER Lady Senator camp: The girls day camp for ages 9-18 will run June 28-July 2 and will cost $250. A mini Senator camp for ages 5-9 will be held June 29-July 2 and cost $125. A finishing and goalkeeping camp for ages 11-18 is set for July 13-17 and cost is $100. A second mini Senator camp is scheduled for July 13-16. Cost for that camp is the same for the first mini camp and it’s for the same ages as that camp. There will be a $15 discount for individuals who register before May 1 for any of the camps. Final payment will be due by check-in of each camp. There will also be a discount given for multiple weeks and/or multiple family members. AUM summer camp: Scott Kidd, head coach of the AUM women’s team, will hold a tennis camp June 8-12 at the AUM Tennis Complex. Camp times are 8 a.m. until noon each day. Camp t-shirts and a daily lunch will be provided. Camp is open to both boys and girls and the cost is $125 per camper. Participants will be grouped in the following age divisions: tiny tots (4-6), tots (5-8), juniors (9-12) and teens (13-18).
