A SEVENOAKS woman has enlisted the help of a celebrity friend in her bid to raise money for the charity who helped her battle
breast cancer. Stephanie Harrison, 50, from Bradbourne Vale Road, was diagnosed with the disease last year. Following the shock discovery, she had a lumpectomy to remove the cancerous growth and is now being closely monitored by her doctors. She will not get the all-clear for five years and had another scare earlier this year, but was relieved to find the lump was benign. The experience has prompted her to organise an event to bolster support and awareness for Breast Cancer Care. She said: “It is a big shock to the system to get cancer. The first thing you think of is ‘I am going to die’. “When I was at the clinic last year, I saw this young girl who had obviously been diagnosed.
“I was 49 at the time and it had a big impact.
