The Tampa Bay Lightning will host their 2009 Fan Fest presented by Embassy Suites – Downtown at the St.
Pete Times Forum on Saturday, August 29 from 3-8 p.m. The event is FREE and open to the public. The 2009 Tampa Bay Lightning Fan Fest is the perfect way for you and your family to kick off the 2009-10 hockey season. Join fellow fans for a charity scrimmage and auction featuring current Lightning players, a question and answer session with players like Steven Stamkos, Martin St. Louis and Mike Smith, General Manager Brian Lawton and Head Coach Rick Tocchet and several autograph opportunities. There will also be fun and games for all ages as well as food and beverage specials. The Lightning will host and auditions for the 2009-10 Bolt Brigade during the event. Those wishing to sign up for the youth hockey clinics with Director of Youth Hockey Brian Bradley can register at http://www.tampabaylightning.com/fanfest09clinics or they can call Mark Sofia at 813.301.6769. Fans can also pick out the best locations for Lightning Season Tickets or pick up new and used hockey equipment at the Garage Sale. Lightning Season Ticket Holders will be allowed to enter Fan Fest at 1:30 p.m., an hour and a half before the doors open to the public, and will get the first chance at autographs from their favorite players. Those in attendance at the 2009 Fan Fest presented by Embassy Suites – Downtown will also have the first chance to purchase individual game tickets for the 2009-10 season as single game tickets will not go on sale to the general public via ticketmaster until Monday August 31.
