night with a total score of 91 points. The event featured working cowboys from ten historic Texas ranches competing in events that depict common daily ranch tasks. 1-Graphic head:Texas roundup results The Johnson Ranch rode away with the top honors at the Texas Ranch Roundup Saturday night. It was the first time the Amarillo-based ranch won the the competition. Johnson wound up the rodeo with 91 points. Circle Bar Ranch of Truscott placed second with 78.5 points. Swenson Land & Cattle of Stamford took third-place honors with 59 points. Stoney Jones of the Tongue River Ranch in Dumont was named top hand.
The Texas Ranch Roundup began in 1981. Proceeds from the event have provided more than $2.2 million to charity, especially the North Texas Rehabilitation Center in Wichita Falls.
