The Get In Touch Girls Program & Daisy Wheel breast health initiative educates girls in grades 5-12 on the importance of and how to do a breast self-exam for life. The Get In Touch Girls Program & Daisy Wheels are provided at no cost to schools – we are currently serving schools in all 50 states and 26 countries! Our free Daisy Wheel app is available on the iTunes Store and has been downloaded by girls in 8- countries since launching in 2011.
WHAT:
The 1st Annual Los Angeles Pretty In Pink Brunch & Women of Strength Awards to benefit the global breast health organization, The Get In Touch Foundation. The event includes brunch, a silent and live auction, and an awards and speakers program.
We are excited to announce that our first award recipient will be noted surgical breast specialist Dr. Kristi Funk. As an expert in minimally-invasive diagnostic and treatment methods for all types of breast disease, she has helped thousands of women through breast cancer treatment, including well-known celebrities, like Angelina Jolie and Sheryl Crow, who have turned to her for her expertise. She has continued to expand the importance of early detection through television and other media appearances

WHY:
The Get In Touch Foundation mission is to provide breast health initiatives that educate gals and guys of all ages how to get in touch with their bodies, information, and each other in our crusade against breast cancer.
California is a Get In Touch state, and we are thrilled to see the number of schools implementing our program increasing. The Los Angeles Pretty In Pink event will provide the much-needed funding to continue our important mission of breast health education, and serve as an introduction to those schools not yet implementing our program.
