According to Unicef, globally, “about 1 billion children are “multidimensionally” poor, meaning they lack necessities as basic as nutritious food or clean water.” Unfortunately, among these kids, approximately 3 million die every year because of malnutrition. This is what WeeCycle, a Colorado-based non-profit, is trying to help address. Their mission is “to recycle essential baby gear and match it to Colorado families in need.” A combination of the words, “wee” and “recycle”, WeeCycle helps families get much needed supplies such as baby formula, strollers, and children’s clothes, and at the same time also contributes to a cleaner and more sustainable planet for these kids’ future through their Environmental Preservation Program.
On April 6, WeeCycle will be having WeeCycle’s Whimsy at Bigsby’s Folly, Denver, Colorado. Get ready for an evening filled with delicious appetizers, signature cocktails, a chef-inspired plated dinner, amazing live music, and an exciting live auction. Proceeds from this event will go to ensuring that more families will be given items that are critical for their young ones to lead safer and healthier lives.
