What would Christmas be without a festive Christmas Caravan
This year, the Markland Wood 40th Annual Christmas Caravan and Annual Food Drive should prove to help hundreds. Food will be collected from the community and from businesses. The food will be trucked to help the needy.
The event hopes to surpass the seventeen thousand pounds of food collected last year.
The food goes to help the Salvation Army, the Scott Mission, the Brothers of the Good Shepherd and the Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund. Volunteers are appreciated so bring your elf costume.
There will be a fire truck, a police vehicle, a musical truck playing Christmas Carols and a transport truck.
Even Santa lends a hand to the Markland Wood 40th Annual Christmas Caravan and Annual Food Drive to make it a special occasion. A hot lunch is served for all who participate in this worthy event.
