On Sunday 3 May, the Kokoda Memorial Pool will host the fifth MS Swimathon event of the year to raise vital funds to help people living with multiple sclerosis (MS).
The MS Swimathon is one of Queenslands fastest-growing charity events and is great for all ages and abilities.
It doesnt matter if you can do 100 fast laps or doggy paddle one, everyone can join in, have fun and support people living with MS an incurable disease which affects a persons central nervous system. Designed as a relay event, teams must have one swimmer in the water at all times throughout the entire 12 hour event period.
The MS Swimathon is a community-based event that encourages everyone to take part and raise money to help people living with MS. Participants can raise donations by asking for a one off donation from friends and family or being sponsored based on the number of laps they can do.
