THE Lincolnshire Air Ambulance is set for a big cash boost after a grand day out for tractor enthusiasts from across the region.
Last year, the event raised £1,500 and organisers said they hoped to beat the total this time. A gathering of 52 tractors crossed about 30 miles of North Lincolnshire’s countryside yesterday before meeting at West Halton for a rally. The convoy departed from Walcott Hill Farm at 10.30am and visited various parts of the region along the route. Area co-ordinator John White said the day had gone well. He said: “It has been brilliant. We would like to thank the police for helping us at all the major junctions of roads. “And thank you to all the land owners for letting us go down their tracks.
“People stopped at the roadside and watched us go by. It’s quite a typical thing for a tractor club to do an event like this.
