ORGANISERS of Sunday’s Holmes Chapel Summer Fair are appealing to local people to help make the revived event a success.
It will be held at the Victoria Club in Victoria Avenue from noon to 5pm and will feature displays and activities run by local groups including, morris dancing, gymnastics, martial arts, animals and charity stalls. The fair will be opened by the club’s oldest member, 95-year-old Fred Scott. A club spokesman said: “We haven’t held a summer fair at the Victoria Club for more than four years and decided it is time to resurrect it. It should be a great day.”
