Voters In Boost For Charity At Tipton And Coseley Building Society AGM 2009: Involved Members

Voters in boost for charity at Tipton and Coseley Building Society AGM

Get involved Members of the Tipton and Coseley Building Society helped to swell the Black Country mutual’s Charitable Foundation coffers thanks to the number
of AGM votes cast this year. At the same time, they helped raise more than &pound1,030 for the Foundation as the society promised to donate 15p for every vote cast online and to double the amount to 30p if the number of votes reached 4,500. In the event, a total of 5,012 votes were cast, an increase of almost ten per cent on last year, assisted by the new online voting option. Chief executive Chris Martin said: “We are delighted that members used their vote, not only to express their opinions and make key decisions on the issues that affect them and their financial affairs, but also to help raise in excess of &pound1,030 for the Charitable Foundation. “It is a fantastic achievement and one which will benefit the whole community.” We want your local stories, videos & pics.
