Get involved A CHARITY is holding its annual ball, which was started by its founder before he died aged just 27.
The Ed Evans Foundation was set up by the former Royal Navy diver from Marcross, Vale of Glamorgan, in January 2006 after he was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Since his death in October 2007, his mum Sue has been running the foundation in Ed’s memory. This year’s black-tie event takes place in a marquee in Sophia Gardens, Cardiff, on Saturday where family friend Dave Bassett, from Canada, will be master of ceremonies, Fat Barry’s Soul Band will play and a skiing holiday in the French Alps for eight people and a summer holiday in France will be auctioned.
