THE WIRRAL Coastal Walk will help raise money for a new Ronald McDonald House being built at Arrowe Park Hospital.
The 15-mile walk along Wirral’s coastline is expected to draw in many people who will raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. The charity aims to provide free ‘home away from home’ accommodation at hospitals, enabling families to stay close to their child and maintain a degree of normal family life. Twelve Ronald McDonald Houses have been built which, along with 29 sets of Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, provide over 350 bedrooms every night of the year. And now a new seven-bedroom house will be built at Arrowe Park Hospital. Charlie Murray and her twins, are a prime example of a family who would have benefited from this new house. The 18-year-old, of Ellesmere Port, went into labour four months early and gave birth to twins who were tiny &ndash each weighed less than a bag of sugar.
