Although more than 1.5 million Americans have lupus, the public is mostly unaware of the disabling and life-altering health effects of this auto-immune disease.
According to a recent online survey by the Ad Council, 80 percent of Americans know little or nothing about the potentially fatal disease that mainly strikes women in their childbearing years. The is hosting its 3rd Annual Butterfly of Hope Gala this Saturday, May 16th at the Mondrian Hotel Scottsdale. The charity event starts at 7 p.m. and includes hors d’oeuvres, live entertainment and silent and live auctions.
