This years charity classic will be spearheaded by former captain Chris Gaudet and teammate Adam Pineault assisted by a volunteer committee that includes Les
Stoodley, Rod Leblanc, Mike Snow, Bill Parks and Bill Schurman. The alumni has designated the Luc Bourdon Foundation as its charity for 2009. It will honor alumni member Luc Bourdon, who died in a tragic motorcycle accident outside his home town of Shippagan, May 29th last year. “We all wanted to do something to remember Luc,” Gaudet said, “especially those alumni who played with him during his time with the Wildcats. He made a great contribution to the team that won the QMJHL championship in 2006 and played in the Memorial Cup. His untimely death was a very painful experience for all of us.” The charity classic has openings for 36 teams of four players with a Wildcats alumni to play with each team. Registration will be $100.00 for individuals or $400. per team. Registration includes the round of golf, prizes, and dinner. A live auction which will be open to the public, will take place following the dinner. More details will be released as they become available.
