Whether through creating or enjoying the pleasure of music, people have always had a need for the beauty of the orchestra. Local orchestras provide opportunities for students as well as adults and encourage their gifts and talents.
The Aiken Civic Orchestra performs 10 programs each season with music ranging from popular to masterpieces and even contemporary works.
With the cost of $15-20k per concert, the civic orchestra relies on regular donations. With support from the local community, they can continue to provide music to the greater Aiken/Augusta area.
An evening of wine tasting and music will be March 11 from 5:30-7:30 pm EST at the Aiken County Historical Museum. The cost is $50 a ticket and can be purchased online or by mailing checks to ACO, PO Box 3592, Aiken, SC 29802.
