When a MetroWest Daily News reporter agreed to cover a transportation discussion last week, little did he know his debit card would fall into
the hands of a U.S. congressman. But when U.S. Rep. James McGovern, D-3rd, arrived at the Courtyard by Marriott in Marlborough, he found the card on the hallway floor. McGovern handed the card to Rashid Shaikh, of Nypro, who introduced the congressman. The reporter realized the debit card had fallen out of his pocket when he gave Shaikh a business card. In introducing McGovern, Shaikh joked that he wanted to thank the reporter for covering the event’s tab.
