Palm Springs Awards Gala

A host of stars turned out for the 2011 Palm Springs Film Festival Awards Gala on the weekend in California.

Ben Affleck, Natalie Portman, Carey Mulligan, Jake Gyllenhaal, James Franco, Mark Wahlberg, Amy Adams, Colin Firth and Helen Mirren either receiving or helping to present awards.

"The Palm Springs International Film Society is a... charitable non-profit organization whose mission is to cultivate and promote the art and science of film through education and cross-cultural awareness."

The 2011 Palm Springs Film Festival Awards Gala was on 8 January, the festival is on until 17 January.
