According to the World Health Organization, approximately 1 in 100 children have autism. Around 40% them are nonverbal, 78% have other mental health conditions, and 80% have trouble with their motor skills. Each person with autism has different needs and abilities, which is why it is important for them to receive interventions from early childhood up to adulthood, so they can have the best quality of life possible. This is where organizations like BeyondAutism comes in. Based in London, BeyondAutism’s vision “is to ensure autistic children and young adults access an education which empowers a life full of choice, independence and opportunity.” With programs such as Early Years, BeyondAutism Schools, Post-19 Provision, and BeyondAutism Fast Responder®, they aim to change the lives of people with autism, as well as their families and communities, for the better.
On May 8, BeyondAutism’s Quiz Night 2024 will happen at Wandsworth Civic Suite. Aside from the quiz portion, there will also be a silent auction and a delicious dinner to make the night even more enjoyable. Proceeds raised from this event will go to funding the different life-changing programs of BeyondAutism.
