Calling all art lovers in Reading, Berkshire! Make room for more paintings, pottery, and tableware in your homes as The Rotary Club of Reading Maiden Erlegh presents Charity Art and Craft Fair. Happening on October 25-26 at Leighton Park School, be amazed by the wide selection of arts and crafts made by homegrown artists. There will also be sandwiches, cakes, and drinks offered at the nearby Art Café, should you ever feel overwhelmed or tired from walking around the stalls. Proceeds raised from this event will go to be the Royal Berkshire Hospital Charity who “funds innovative treatment, equipment and research at Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals, that fall outside of NHS funding.”

We are delighted to announce that the Art and Craft Fair will take place again in October 2025 at Leighton Park School.

Thanks to all the exhibitors and members of the public, the majority of the funds raised at the 2024 event helped provide healthy meals for families struggling from food poverty or food insecurity within our local community. This year the main beneficiaries will be the Royal Berkshire Hospital Charity and a project supporting local food banks and food share groups.

One of the earliest figurative art can be found on a rock art panel on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. It is a 45,500-year-old painting of a warty pig made with red pigment. This October, find more interesting, unique, and quirky pieces like the Sulawesi pig, at the Charity Art and Craft Fair. Your support to this event will mean a lot not only to the local artists, but to the patients of the Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals as well.
