Did you know that the word “cake” comes from the old Norse word “kaka” which means “flatbread”? And flatbread was exactly what the early cakes were as they were flat and dry, with fruits or nuts added to them at times. The texture, flavor, and appearance of cakes have a gone long way since then and you’ll get to enjoy these modern cakes, and more, when you join Harmony and Cake this August. So, what are you waiting for? Get your tickets to this cake-tastic event by messaging 01329 282 989 or looking for Jean at the Portchester Methodist Church.
