Cancer affects many people and their families every day. It can be scary and difficult to go through treatment. Early support, research, and awareness can help save lives and improve survival. Community action plays a big role in funding this work.
Cancer Research UK works to fund research and support efforts to beat cancer. They also organize events that bring people together to raise money for prevention and treatment. To support this mission, they host the Race for Life Birmingham 5K.
The event will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Cannon Hill Park. Participants can walk, jog, or run at their own pace, either alone or with friends and family. When people take part, they help fund cancer research and support services. Their effort helps bring us closer to better treatments and a cure.
