Many people who are blind or visually impaired rely on assistance dogs to move safely and independently. Training these dogs takes time, care, and funding. Without support, fewer service dogs can be trained and matched with people who need them.
Dogs With Wings Assistance Dog Society trains and provides assistance dogs for people with disabilities. They help improve independence, safety, and quality of life through highly trained service animals. To support this mission, they are hosting a milestone fundraising event.
The Beyond the Leash Gala 2026 will take place on September 19, 2026 from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM at the DoubleTree by Hilton West Edmonton, 16615 109th Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB. Guests are invited to celebrate the organization’s 30th anniversary and learn more about its impact. This event helps fund the training and placement of assistance dogs. It supports programs that give people greater independence and confidence in their daily lives.
