What would you say to a Saturday filled with beef brisket, pulled pork, loaded baked potatoes, and jalapeño creamed corn? If you gave a big resounding yes, then head over to the 10th Annual Charity Barbecue on June 20 at Tamarack Circle, Kemptville. Along with slow-cooked tender meats, loaded sides, and refreshing drinks, there’ll also be an exciting live auction and a fun bouncy castle for the kids. Proceeds raised will support Roger Neilson Children’s Hospice at CHEO and Beth Donovan Hospice, two organizations committed to providing compassionate care and support to individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses.

Did you know that the word “barbecue” traces its roots to the Taíno people of the Caribbean? They slow-cooked and smoked meat over a raised wooden framework called a barbacoa. Keep this tasty bit of trivia in mind as you line up for a delicious BBQ feast for a cause at the 10th Annual Charity Barbecue this June.
