Many construction workers and their families face challenges with mental health, finances, and wellbeing. During difficult times, having access to support can make a big difference. Help and guidance can improve lives and provide hope when it is needed most.
Lighthouse Charity provides emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing support to people in the construction industry. For 70 years, the charity has helped workers and families access the resources they need during times of hardship. To help continue this work, they are hosting a special anniversary fundraising event.
The Scotland West Musical Cruise – 70 Years of the Lighthouse Charity will take place on Friday, August 14, 2026, aboard the historic Waverley Paddle Steamer. Guests will enjoy live 1980s music and a scenic cruise along the River Clyde while celebrating the charity’s 70th anniversary and the Scotland West Region’s 61 years of support. Funds raised from the event help provide vital wellbeing, financial, and emotional support services for construction workers and their families. Every ticket helps strengthen the safety net available to those facing challenges.
