George 7th annual St. George Catholic Church Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Sept. 19 at Coral Canyon Golf Course. Sign-in at 7:30 a.m. Shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Four person scramble. $100 fee includes green fees, cart, continental breakfast, lunch and prizes. Harley Davidson Motorcycle awarded to first Hole-in-One. Proceeds will be shared with Salvation Army Soup Kitchen and the Church’s renovation fund. Sunset Blvd., will be celebrating America’s Favorite Past Time with Free Baseball Card Day! To help celebrate this wonderful event, Comics Plus will host a “Big League Blast” prize drawing. This is a chance for collectors to win some great baseball prizes, compliments of Topps, Upper Deck and MLBPA. The prizes include an authentic Ichiro baseball Jersey, autographed Ian Kinsler photo, Topps Baseball set, Wincraft Pennant, McFarlane’s Sport Figure and more. Pegasus 12U Softball Tryouts! Today at 10 a.m. at JC Snow Park, 900 S. 400 East. Pegasus is a competitive travel softball team, and we are holding an open tryout to select players for our 2010 season. Players must be age 12 or younger as of January 1, 2010.
