HEAVY rain didn’t dampen spirits at the 12th annual Dragon Boat Regatta.
Hundred of umbrellas were hoisted aloft around Gloucester Docks yesterday as the audience watched more than 300 people take to the waters. Steve Markham, CLIC Sargent chairman and organiser of the event, was pleased with the event despite the conditions. He said: “It really is wonderful and is undoubtedly one of the best events held at the Docks. “People enjoy it, both the spectators and those in the boats and most importantly, it raised money for charity.” Since 1998 the event has raised more than
