Get involved THE last time we saw the DCD dance troupe, Simon Cowell told one of their members she was one of the prettiest
girls he had ever seen. But the dancers have taken a break from their starring role on Britain’s Got Talent to raise £2,000 for charity by taking party in a fashion show. Members of the Cardiff dance group, who appeared on the TV talent show two weeks ago, took part in the glamorous event on Wednesday at Cardiff’s City Hall. Designers such as Swansea-based Helen Rhiannon and milliner Kate McKenny joined forces to raise money for George Thomas Hospice and the British Heart Foundation. The theme of the show, called Style In The City, was dress to impress, with Wenda James Rowe from The Style Team on hand for fashion tips. The event was also a chance for new Welsh fashion label ArcEnd, which makes eco-friendly clothes and jewellery, to showcase its ethical products. Rhian Love, a member of DCD Seniors, modelled dresses from the Helen Rhiannon evening wear collection and brought along five fellow dancers for support.
She said: “I was really excited to be involved in the fashion show, as I feel passionate about raising money for good causes and I love dressing up!”
