A D V E R T I S E M E N T To celebrate the spring season, a group of bird breeders from
the Pacific Northwest will let attendees get an up-close look at several species of non-native and exotic birds from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at Bird Mart, 5942 S.E. 111th Ave., Portland. In addition to the birds, Bird Mart will feature a fundraiser luncheon hosted by the Centennial High School Marching Band and Color Guard, with all luncheon proceeds going to benefit their scholastic activities. Attendees can check out Portland Trail Blazer Kevin Duckworth’s handcrafted solid oak armoire, which he topped with a semi-enclosed birdcage. The collectible will be on display and offered for a minimum donation of $1,000 to benefit Duckworth’s charity. The piece comes with a framed photo of Duckworth standing by the armoire.
