9:22am Saturday 21st February 2009 FOUR-LEGGED friends are being urged to put their best paw forward in aid of charity.
The event will take place on Saturday, April 4, with the route taking in a 1.5 mile circuit from Millennium Bridge to Skeldergate Bridge and back along the other side of the river. Participants are being challenged to complete as many circuits as possible between 11am and 2pm. All money raised will help to fund a new kit for York athletes with learning difficulties travelling to Leicester in July to represent the city in the national Special Olympics. They will compete in sports such as football, athletics, swimming and indoor bowls. Anne Crawford, who is organising the event, said:
