Melbourne’s 2008/2009 New Year’s Eve will go off with an eco bang.
The City of Melbourne has taken steps to make sure the Melbourne city event is carbon neutral.
Recycled water will be used in some water filled barriers, generators will use clean renewable fuels, vendors will recycle, there will be a free bike valet service for people who ride in and funds raised from the event will go to the Living Trees Project through the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Fund.
