Heart disease and stroke are two of the most deadly and debilitating conditions affecting millions of people around the world. They strike without warning, tearing families apart and leaving loved ones devastated. Each year, countless individuals suffer from heart attacks, strokes, and other cardiovascular events, with many losing their lives or experiencing permanent disability. The toll of heart disease and stroke is staggering, affecting people of all ages and backgrounds. It’s a cruel and unforgiving reality that demands urgent attention and action. The need for better prevention, treatment, and support for those affected by these conditions has never been more pressing.
Despite the devastating impact of heart disease and stroke, there is hope. The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada is a leading organization in the fight against these conditions, working tirelessly to improve prevention, treatment, and support for those affected.
One way that The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada raises funds and awareness for their important work is through events like the Keung To Charity Walk 2023. This event provides an opportunity for people to come together and support a worthy cause while celebrating the achievements of one of Hong Kong’s most beloved entertainers.
A charity walk to raise funds for The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada will take place in April, to celebrate Hong Kong’s megastar, Keung To’s birthday!
Our beloved idol, Keung To (Instagram @keung_show), currently the biggest star in Hong Kong and the iconic member of a top-rated boy band in Hong Kong, Mirror (Instagram @mirror.weare), is turning 24 on April 30, 2023! Keung has attracted a fan-base not only through his talent and charm on-stage, but also with his kindest heart. He has been using his influence to share and care for people in need; as his fans, we are determined to follow his footsteps to spread love and kindness to our community.
This year, we are organizing a walkathon on his birthday to raise funds for the Heart & Stroke Ride for Heart Campaign. (please see the details at the bottom of this message)
Heart disease and stroke can affect anyone, at any age, anywhere. 3.5 million Canadians are living with heart diseases or conditions that could lead to stroke. Keung’s own father also suffered from a related disease and successfully recovered from it, thanks to all the successful research and scientific discoveries worldwide in the past decades, which are also on the verge of significant breakthroughs. Help is needed more than ever to help beat these diseases.
Our team is committed to making a difference through our walkathon on April 30th. You can make a difference, too, by donating to help fund Heart & Stroke’s lifesaving research.
Thank you for supporting our team and Keung To! Together we’ll beat heart disease and stroke. Every beat counts.
