130TH ANNIVERSARY CHARITY GALA
The American Women’s Club of Berlin was founded in 1894 – making it the “FIRST of its kind in the Kaiser Land,” according to a Herald Tribune article in 1905. Our 130th Anniversary Charity Gala will take place on September 21st, 2024 at Bridge Studios, a bespoke Berlin historical location. Invitations will go out to our members, their guests and VIPs in Berlin.
FUNDRAISING GOAL
Our goal is to raise 10,000 Euro for our local Berlin charity ReDi School of Digital Integration (founded in 2015, ReDI School in Berlin make it easier for refugees to integrate and find work in the IT Industry). AWC supports specifically the Train the Trainers program to mentor women living in refugee homes in Berlin, to be assistant trainers in the ReDi Kids program – managing the computer labs and building job skills.
Their mission: to raise 10,000 Euro for ReDi School of Digital Integration, a beacon of hope for refugees aiming to thrive in the IT industry. This event will specifically support the Train the Trainers program, empowering women in refugee homes to mentor and manage computer labs, paving their path to brighter futures.
